VICTORY! Humm We Are the Champions for me, your friend, the NOVELIST!

With a DAY and a few hours to spare and so enough typoes to kill any critic, I totally finished the first draft of my novel in a month!!! So awesome. I just typed The End and sent out a million texts messages.

Woo-hoo. I be a novelist!

So, who knows a good editor and publisher. :)

Congratulations to all the other NaMoWriMo-ers and thanks to Chris Baty and the gang for thinking up such a brilliant challenge. This is one of the greatest moments of my whole life. I can't believe I did it.

Which is better? I think I'll scribble it down in a notebook like a zillion times like I was 13 years old pretending to be a rock star except I'm not pretending. :)

Sure, I've got the discipline

Since I've done such a great job keeping my blog up to date and shown the type of inner drive and discipline required to write on a regular basis, I've decided to do the NaNoWriMo thing.

That's where you commit to writing a novel of at least 50,000 words in a month. Naturally, since I'm so chock full of discipline and fortitude as evident in this blog incredible record of sporadic entries, I totally didn't need to start my novel on the first day of the month. I started on the third. Who needs a full 30 days anyway? It's only a novel.

I'm 1800 words in. I'm sure it's brilliant. I'm sure I'll finish. I'm sure you're just dying to read it. Luckily in just 27 short days, Christy Murphy--novelist extraordinaire will be fully birthed into the world. I feel your excitement.
